Intervention Specialist - We have an immediate opening for an Intervention Specialist teacher, grades 7-12, at The Phoenix.  Must have appropriate license and be highly qualified.  Interested and qualified candidates should place their application on REAP and send a letter of interest and resume to Terri Jones, Director of Special Education, at tejones@laca.org, at your earliest convenience.  This position will be open until filled.

ESL Teacher / Coordinator Position (English as Second Language)

Qualifications: Prefer teacher certification in a Foreign Language or Language Arts with TESOL endorsement /certification in a foreign language (Ohio Educator Licensure Standards for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Endorsement)

Duties: Identification and assessment of LEP students and providing a plan to bring them to success in using English as a Second Language
ESL instruction to LEP and /or ELL students as a means of helping them acquire the English skills they need to be successful  - Limited English Proficient (LEP) Students/English Language Learners (ELL)

Salary:  Based on experience and level of Education attained on the LCESC Teacher salary scale

Contract: 1 year contract based on 185 days

School Psychologist - We have an opening in Licking County for a School Psychologist.  Interested and licensed candidates should send a letter of interest and resume' to Dr. Nelson McCray, Superintendent, at nmccray@laca.org at your earliest convenience.

Educational Aide Openings - There are two open positions at Phoenix Central for an Educational Aide.  Must be able to work well with children with special needs and be willing to become highly qualified (two years of college, an associate's degree, or passing the parapro test).  A current FBI/BCI fingerprint search will be required along with an Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide Permit.   Interested and qualified applicants should send a current resume' and letter of interest to Terri Jones, Director, at tejones@laca.org at your earliest convenience.  This position will be open until filled.
