Licking County Quiz Bowl Coordinator – The Licking County Educational Service Center has a supplemental position open for a Quiz Bowl Coordinator for the 2019-20 school year. This position will be responsible for the full coordination and facilitation of county quiz bowl events which include coach meetings, team competitions and the end of the season tournament. Pay for this position is $1,500.00. Interested individuals should send a letter of interest and qualifications to Jason Hankinson at [email protected]. The position will remain open until the successful candidate is found.

Supervisor of Multiple Disability, Autism and Project Search - The Licking County ESC has an anticipated opening for a Supervisor of MD and Autism Programs for the 2019-20 school year.  Qualifications include an Ohio Administrative License or the ability to obtain one or the willingness apply for an Alternative Administrative License.  Supervisory experience is preferred but not required.  The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of special education laws and be able to supervise ten to twelve multiple disability classrooms located throughout four Licking County School Districts.  Responsibilities also include supervision of two to four autism classrooms, currently housed at our Phoenix Central school building and Project Search which is a program comprised of two sites with an enrollment of ten to twenty students annually.  The position requires you to work in conjunction with related service professionals, teachers, transportation staff, local agencies and district administrators and school personnel.  Qualified individuals who are interested in this position can email at letter of interest and resume to Dale Lewellen, Superintendent, at [email protected]  This position will remain open until a suitable candidate can be found. 

BCBA - Phoenix Central, a K12 school for students with emotional disabilities is looking for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the 2019-20 school year. This individual will take a leadership role as they spear head the development of an intense behavioral approach to education for individual classrooms and oversee an Intervention Response Team. Social Worker - Phoenix Central, a K12 school for students with emotional disabilities is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to serve our diverse population for the 2019-20 School year. This individual will be spear heading the development of a school wide program to implement the new Ohio Social Emotional Learning Standards. Additional duties include individual and group counseling sessions for students from multiple counties. Candidates must be an Ohio Licensed Social Worker and have or be willing to obtain a Pupil Services License from the Ohio Department of Education.  Preference will be given to those with experience with children in a trauma informed setting.  Qualified individuals who are interested in this position should send a letter of interest, resume and references to Gail Johnson at [email protected].  This position will be open until a suitable candidate is found!  

Intervention Specialist(s)- Licking County ESC has three to four openings (elementary and middle school) for an Intervention Specialist to work with the counties students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have an Intervention Specialist License Moderate to Intensive (Preferred) or Mild/ Moderate. The qualities we are searching for in a great candidate include:

- An understanding of student learning and development and respect for the diversity of the students they teach, thorough understanding of differentiation.

- An understanding of all content areas

- An understanding and ability to use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning

-Plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student

- Create learning environments that promote high levels of learning and achievement for all students

- Strong behavior management skills

- Collaborate and communicate with students, parents, other educators, administrators and the community to support student learning

- Assume responsibility for professional growth, performance and involvement as an individual and as a member of a learning community

Intervention Specialist

Intervention Specialist - We are seeking an Intervention Specialist to work with our ED department at Phoenix Central. Our students have emotional disabilities and require a sensitive and intuitive teacher. The successful candidate will work with small group of high need students. Applicant must hold a current Ohio Licensure as Intervention Specialist or have all the credentials to obtain one. CPI training is a plus but we will provide training if needed. Applicants should be self-motivated, team oriented and be willing to take instruction.
